Itinerary: Coorg – Irupu waterfalls, Buddha Monastery, Mandalpatti

Coorg: Kodagu is an administrative district in Karnataka, India. Before 1956 it was an administratively separate Coorg State,at which point it was merged into an enlarged Mysore State. It occupies an area of 4,102 square kilometres (1,584 sq mi) in the Western Ghats of southwestern Karnataka. In 2001 its population was 548,561, 13.74% of which resided in the district’s urban centres, making it the least populous of the 30 districts in Karnataka.

Kodagu is known for its coffee and its people. The dominant group are the indigenous and other ethnic groups (Arabashe Gowdas and Kodava subgroups). The chief languages presently spoken in Kodagu are Kodava, Are Bhashe, Kannada, Tulu, Konkani, Urdu and English. Kodagu is home to the native speakers of the Kodava language.

Tentative Itinerary:

Day 1:
7:00 pm – Start from Hyderabad to Bangalore

Day 2:
7:00am– Get into the hired vehicle, Start to iruppu falls
8:30am– Breakfast on the way
3:30pm– Reach Irupu falls via Nagarhole Sanctuary and spend Sometime
6:00pm– Reach Homestay
9:00pm– dinner and go to Sleep
(Campfire Depends on Weather Condition)

Day 3:
4:00 am– start to Mandalpatti base by vehicle
5.00 am– Get into the Jeeps for the adventurous ride
6:00 am– Reach the First View Point ..
7.00 am– Reach the Top of Mandalpatti
9.30 am– Start Descend back
12:00 pm – Visit Budha Monastary and Start Back To Bangalore

Lunch on the way
09:00 pm– Board the train at yeshwantpur

Day 4:
8:20am – Reach Hyderabad

Bye byee…. with lot of memories and new friends!

Important Instructions:

  • No smoking and no alcohol
  • No littering, no pollution of water
  • This is not a luxury trip, but all care has been taken to make your trip comfortable
  • Ladies and gents accommodation is separate in tents.
  • We carry Basic First Aid and if you need anything you can ask the organizers
  • If you feel unwell bring to the notice of the organizers immediately.
  • If you can’t swim don’t go deep into the water
