Itinerary: UNESCO Heritage site, Hampi Backpacking event

Hampi: Heritage town in north Karnataka …

About place: Hampi is famous for its ruins belonging to the erstwhile medieval Hindu kingdom of Vijaynagar and it is declared a World Heritage site. The temples of Hampi, its monolithic sculptures and monuments, attract the traveler because of their excellent workmanship. The Hindu style of architecture found at Hampi reflects the splendor of the Vijaynagar Empire. The rugged landscape adds to the historic ambiance of this site.

Tentative Itinerary:

Day 1:
-> Start from Hyderabad by bus at 8:30 pm

Day 2:
-> Reach Hampi by 9 am
-> Fresh up in homestay / Campsite and go out to explore…
-> Will hire vehicles to roam around Hampi

Places to visit:

Virupaksha Temple , Vittala temple ,Guard’s quarters, Elephant stables, Kings palace, Museum, Ganesha temple, visit more places as time permits

-> Head to sunset point in the evening (Mathanga Hills)
Night head out to explore the cafes.. and amazing food …

Stay in Dorms / homestay

Day 3:
-> Sunrise at Anjanadri hill
-> Will visit Anegundi Temples, Vali sugriva cave , Sanapur lake , Hampi waterfall
-> Coracle ride (optional)
-> Sunset @ Durga Temple / Hemkuta hills

Back to home stay.. Have dinner
-> Start to Hyderabad…

Day 4:
Reach Hyderabad by 6.00 Am … say bye bye with lot of memories…

Important Instructions:

No smoking and no alcohol
No littering, no pollution of water
This is not a luxury trip, but all care has been taken to make your trip comfortable
Ladies and gents accommodation is separate in tents.
We carry Basic First Aid and if you need anything you can ask the organizers
If you feel unwell bring to the notice of the organizers immediately.
If you can’t swim don’t go deep into the water
