Before I start the story, let me introduce myself. I am Raja, aged 22 and I have been traveling around the world for quite some time and this post is about my Incomplete World Tour. I went on a world trip in the month of July 2019 to visit at least 45 countries but had to return in June 2020 after completing 31 countries and spending almost 4.25 lakhs. And this article is all about How I planned this big trip. Hope you all guys going to like my story and pictures.
During October 2018 I went on my very first International trip at the age of 20 to the easiest countries in terms of Visa and travelling. So I chose Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines and Macau for 23 days and spent around 50k and got the taste of solo travel. I would love to share the same with BCF Blogs very soon. Will attach that travel story link also.

So once I was done with the 23 days trip, I started planning a trip for only Europe. Initially thought of travelling during the Summer 2019 but then during March 2019 I happened to apply for B1/B2. And you know what, surprisingly I received a 10-year multiple visa from the states. I was little greedy then. So then I started looking at the advantages of an Indian passport to visit more countries and found out that the Balkans and the countries from South America are visa free combined with my US visa.
But South America was altogether a different achievement for me. I never even dreamt in my wildest dreams! It’s so far and flights are so expensive. The cost was somewhere around 60-70k one way. So I kept on exploring more flights with a greater patience and travelled only in cheaper flights to LATAM from Spain, Italy, Portugal for 20k.
Even I applied for France Visa and received 70 days multiple entry Valid for 90 days and flew to Turkey with E-visa using US visa. After 15 days in Turkey and Georgia, I flew to Paris and spent 65 days in EU and rest 25 days in Balkans because my Schengen visa was multiple and completed 25 countries in 103 days spending around 1500 per day. This included my cost of couch surfing which I did for 15 days. Unfortunately I couldn’t do Hitchhike.

On 23rd of October I flew to Argentina (e – visa using US visa) from Barcelona and spent 2 months in Argentina doing Couch surfing, Volunteering and Hostels. Meanwhile, I applied visa for Uruguay(Free) and Paraguay(65USD), Bolivia(Free) and Brazil(85USD) in different countries and getting those visas was cakewalk.
South America was pretty cheap almost as cheap as SE Asia. Only expensive part for me during South America travel was the transport. It got bigger countries. I really took my time to travel and enjoyed each and every county that I visited and finally made it to Brazil by February 2020. Then I had plans to visit Guyana, Peru, Colombia, Panama, Mexico and USA (out of which almost every country is visa free combined with my US visa) but I had to return due to COVID-19.

Visa US – 12k
Schengen – 6.5k
Argentina E Visa – 3.5k
Turkey E Visa – 3.5k
Paraguay – 4.5k
Brazil – 6k
Total Visa Cost – 36 k
I stayed
45 days using Couchsurfing
45 days using volunteering
10 days in Bus, Train , Airport
Rest 240 days in hostel avg 1000 in Europe and 400 in South America approx 160k
I never cooked in India but in this trip I cooked 6days of the week so never spend much in food but always ate well.
And transport well public bus and trains and a couple to cheap domestic flights.
In South America the activities were expensive like in Patagonia.
I used to spend money from my SBI and Axis Bank Savings debit card and it summed up to around 4.25 lacks for 340 days and 31 countries. Having said that it could have been done cheaper if I had a camp and hitched but all in all it was a quite comfortable trip and I believe anyone who has INR 4-5 lakhs in the bank and will power can go on a year long world trip around 15-30 countries comfortably. I am not going to stop now and will hit the road again when things are stable.
