I would like to share a crazy trip that I had two years ago during November 2018. It was an unplanned trip. There was hell lot of planning done with my friends and as expected they finally did not join. So, at the final hour on Friday night my journey started all alone.
I will share my experience traveling in general compartment. But I would suggest you plan and book reservations so you can enjoy more.
Train Episode:
I am supposed to get into 17256 Narasapur Express that starts from Nampally at 9:45 pm. The journey started from my room at 9 50 pm. Ya, I know, I was a bit late. My plan is to catch the train at Secunderabad @10 10. Got an auto luckily, reached the station on time. Booked general ticket up to Vijayawada from Rail Yatri App while I was in auto. From Vijayawada got reservation tickets to Narsapur. You can book only if you are 7 km away from the station. Managed to get into train general compartment. Just got a place to stand at the door. Next stop Bibinagar. Managed to get to the sleeper and convince TT to get berth up to 😄Vijayawada.

DAY 1: HYDERABAD–> NARSAPUR–> ANTARVEDI –> RAZOLE–> YANAM
The train reached Vijayawada by morning 4.30. Krishna bridge sound worked as an alarm to get out and have a glance at Durga temple and enjoy the view of river Krishna. I planned to visit Vijayawada during the return journey which eventually did not happen. So, my journey continued. As I moved little further, entered into the West Godavari. Coconut trees view started and the turbine sound of fish ponds, a beautiful glimpse to eyes and a warm welcome to heart.This is what we expect us to welcome.
The journey continued with some familiar station names like Kaikaluru, Palakollu, and Bhimavaram. Songs began to hum in the background. It was a good experience. Later entered into East Godavari. The train was late and reached Narsapur by 9 30 am.
Got an auto to move to the center nearby. It’s not a big town but you can find everything. Had breakfast and got some food items from the more supermarket. Moved to revu place, where we need to cross the river on a boat.
The view was awesome and for the first time enjoyed that kind of boat ride, there were a lot of vehicles onboard. just 5 min ride. Reached to the other shore and got an auto to Antarvedi. Reached to temple.

Antarvedi
Antarvedi is a village in the Sakhinetipalli mandal, or tehsil, located in the East Godavari district of the Andhra Pradesh state in India. The village is situated at the place where the Bay of Bengal and Vasishta Godavari, a tributary of the Godavari River, meet.
Reached the temple by 12pm. Got fresh up and visited the temple. Temple closure time by 2pm. So, try to reach fast. Nithyannadanam at the temple. A lovely tasty food. Had food and got an auto to Antarvedi place to see Sangam. There are two places like beach where you see Sangam and only Beach area. If you are in a group, get an auto rented for both the places for 2 hours time and get started. They usually ask us to return within half an hour. Take time to enjoy the beach.
The river meets from the left, you can see a dark murky patch of water mixing with blue sea. From Antarvedi reached RAZOLE, There to YANAM. From center, you have a hotel named The Regency Hotel at a walkable distance.
Booked through an app, and I got the best discounts. Hotel was good. For party people, it’s a good place. Drinks will be served to room. Prawn biryani was awesome. Nice fish starters too. 1499/- AC room for two. 2000 for three. Had a nice dinner at the hotel and just walked around the streets and a lot of wine shops and fish items around to taste. Day 1 ended this way.

DAY 2: YANAM –> KAKINADA –> RAJAHMUNDRY —> VIJAYAWADA –> HYDERABAD
The day started at Yanam, One thing to be noted, there was no beach in Yanam. It’s just Godavari river bank. If you want to visit the sea beach its going to be a complete day plan. You have to visit the Coringa wildlife sanctuary and take a boat. Not preferable if you have no plan to Coringa.
Morning walk started through the coconut fields. It’s a 1km walk from the hotel, walk through a coconut plantation to the riverside.

One more thing is that by the side of Ghat early morning bidding will be conducted in between the sellers.It’s really awesome to watch. You can watch all kind of fish there. The one which I am holding is more than 4 kg. Alive and have a lot of teeth. Costed around 2500.
I happened to see a fish, Polasa fish. Very costly one. There you get them for around 600. But in the market, they costs you around 3000+. If you are a good foodie then buy them and find someplace to cook and enjoy it. Update me the taste… 😉😉

Later I did check out from the hotel by 10. Moved to Kakinada harbor. There will be a tourist boat that takes you to HOPE island. But you must be at harbor by 10 30 or before. Got a contact and reached to concern member through phone but I couldn’t make it there on time. Missed the boat ☹️☹️ I would have enjoyed a little if I had caught it. Because the island pics looked like heaven. If you plan this trip make a sure visit there and update me. They said you will find fresh water on the island even though it is surrounded by sea.
Some clicks at Kakinada Harbour
Visited beaches earlier but first time visit to the harbor. So I was excited through out and had some good time. I really enjoyed the place.

Later as a food lover – I found the best part SUBBAYYA GARI HOTEL and KOTAIAH KAKINADA KAJA in Kakinada. Visited them and had a nice feast! Subbayya hotel meals, generally have a lot of food items and the best part is serving is done wholeheartedly. Tasty items around and all I can say is don’t miss this! If you miss this, you can say yourself that you missed something in life.. 😃😃
Started to Rajahmundry from Kakinada. Have a rose milk for sure. Try Kova rose milk. A very tasteful. I got it packed with full of ice and had it at GHAT peacefully.
You will have Nitya Harathi for river Godavari at Rajahmundry. It will start @6:30pm. Try to be at that place. You will have a lot of trains. Don’t worry.
Got into general compartment of superfast express @10 pm till Vijayawada. Reached there @1 in the night. Garibrath @ 2 30 from Vijayawada. Got a berth confirmation, In the meanwhile roamed across Vijayawada Krishna barrage and got into the train and reached Hyderabad by morning and back to routine…..
It’s about the journey, Not the destination.
