My first time trek moments – Deoriatal-Chopta-Chandrashila trek

First time to a trek! Yes, I was so excited when this dream became reality. And I would like to share my first time experience of trekking with you all. By the way I am Priyanka from New Delhi

I have always wanted to go on trekking, the one in which I get to experience it for a longer time and that is why I chose the Deoriatal-Chopta-Chandrashila trek. It was a trek of 7D/6N. The best part about the first times is that you already know it beforehand that you are gonna experience something new. After all I believe Frank Herbert’s quote “Without new experiences, something inside of us sleeps. The sleeper must awaken.”

It’s time for me to wake that someone who was sleeping inside for a long time. So here, let’s begin with the experience I have had on this trek. I am not really good when it comes to things which require great physical strength but for the first time I walked for several kilometres while carrying luggage and I can do it again and again.

A must click after walking a lot.. 😍😍

In this trek, I camped amidst the jungle, walked for 16 kms through the woods in one day, crossed hills, got afraid of fighting Bulls, got irritated and tired, and so on. It wasn’t really the greatest of my travel journeys but it surely was the only trekking experience I have had so far.

For the first time I realised that age isn’t really important when you are making conversations with people from different age groups. I made acquaintances on this trek from different states of India and to be honest, there is really no significant difference. It’s just people with similar mindsets become easily comfortable with each other.

Strangers to Friends, My Gang.. 😎😎

When it comes to travelling and telling experiences, it is not always black and white as the borders, one uses to square out the pictures, but it is always like the colors gathered in the pictures themselves. No matter if you have good memories or bad, you will always remember your first experiences as the turning points.

Happy moments!

On this particular adventure, I realised how much I love travelling and even when I was sick on the last day of trek, how badly I wanted to complete it. This picture taken on Chandrashila reminds me of the courage and freedom these journeys provide me. At this point, I realised that no matter what I do in future, I will never leave travelling.

Bliss

I hope you all also have a thing to hold on too and I wish you will achieve it in this lifetime. Thank you for reading.

Stay safe and healthy. Lots of love to you.❤️
