I would like to share my travel experience with BCF ( BackPackers and City Freaks ) through this Blog. It was those days where I was stressed out during post Covid days mainly after the second wave and I’ve decided to come out of a routine and monotonous lifestyle and got to know through friends about an Application called “MeetUp” where I can engage myself on any open forums to learn new things both professionally and personally. While exploring MeetUp Application, I started looking at various organizers where BCF is an “eye Catcher” for me due to their policies and guidelines(will share as we go through my travel experience ) for exploring different locations and conducting events mainly for weekends to get stress relief for working professionals.
My First event or travel or better say association with BCF started in Sept 2021 with a 2 days Gokarna trip. A Positive vibe was established when I discussed for the first time with Raj Kiran (RK) – Founder of BCF and confirmed my travel for Gokarna trip on Friday Evening just 2hrs before Train departure. After my discussion, I am just hoping that I will get stress relief from my routine work and make some good memories. However, it went beyond my expectations as the Facilitators who has engaged us during this trip has strictly adhere to the BCF policy i.e. “No Littering No Smoking and No Alcohol” where they were leading by example and took care of all of us throughout the journey despite a few challenges which are not in their control like rains, train delay, food options and so on.
Below Pics are from the Gokarna Event in Sept 2021:
Since then it has been 7 Events including the last one ( Ooty – Coonor event ) so far with BCFs which includes one Full day Trekking event to 6 days Northern Himalayas ( Brahmatal Trekking – Uttarakhand ) and North East events (Meghalaya Trip ) where indeed, every event was a memorable one and stress relief from daily routine duties. Also, these events have made some new friends and memories which is one of the good policies of BCF where we never felt like strangers as soon as we boarded the train for every event. Organizers or Facilitators ensure that we all are friendly and mingle very fast and support each other during travel.
My Experience with Brahmatal Trekking – Uttatrakand through BCF was an overwhelming and lifetime experience which I never expected that I would make it to the Brahmatal Lake which is situated at an altitude of 3400m. All credit goes to certified Trek Leads, Chefs and Facilitators who have taken extreme precautions and guided us almost daily on DOs and Don’ts so that we all have a good and safe Trek and we were also able to have a new year blast at Nainital Hill Station with lot of good memories for adieu 2021 and welcoming 2022 while returning to Delhi via Haridwar. This trip has resembles one of the key policies which BCF keep saying “Keep Travelling and Keep Learning”

One Full day Event with BCF was also another good adventure event where I was climbing all rocks when we visited Khilla Ghanpur Fort situated around 150kms away from Hyderabad towards Kurnool. Facilitator for this trip has planned and executed well in a timely manner and guided us in a proper way where we never felt like we couldn’t do this. Kudos to the RK and organizers for selecting the correct Facilitator for the correct event which makes the event to be very successful. We have burned a lot of calories during this event which makes us lean and healthy.

Trip to Chrirapunji and Shillong to explore Meghalaya is another memorable trip where we were received well by the people of North East States and all credit goes to Facilitator who has taken all permissions so that we can travel with comfort and explore the places across the Bangladesh border. It was a good learning experience I had through BCF to see how people in backward states are having their daily lives when compared to other parts of India and we all should feel proud to have good logistics for us when compared to NorthEast states.

Trip to Coffee estate and exploring Forest areas in Coorg, Dubare Elephant camps are very memorable events that I had where Facilitators ensure that we didn’t miss any place during Coorg trip and covered almost all places within the given time to us despite of challenges they had with Mysore traffic and other unexpected weather conditions during trip.
The New Year Event at Pondy with BCF was another memorable and long lasting event as I got a chance to travel with RK and other organizers who will plan all these events, logistics for all BCFians. Since it was New Year and we all expect huge crowd in places like Pondicherry but still RK and his team managed well to all the required enjoyment for all us in adieu to 2022 and welcoming 2023.
Ooty-Coonoor Event was a kind of leisure trip which happened during the 2023 Easter holidays and again this trip has helped me to get some stress relief from hectic job work.I’ve learned a lot from each one of them who has travelled along with me mainly on Insta Reels, interacting with people with different mindset. Facilitator has been very proactive with high energy levels and used to share all the pros and cons during the trip and set the expectations properly so that we all can be prepared accordingly for the next day.
Below are the pics from Coorg, Pondy and Ooty events:

One Common Point I noticed with all my above events with BCF is we never felt like we were passengers in the train and I often got questions like how we know each other from other passengers by looking at our noise or fun in the train. Facilitators will start engaging with us with some fun activities as soon as Train departs from Hyderabad and ensure that we all have fun, learn, understand each other and finally make some new friends and long lasting memories for all events.
Finally, I would like to conclude by saying that it is always worth travelling with BCF which is an economical, friendly and time bound trip where you make new friends, learn, memories and have lots of fun 🙂
