I am a person who is introvert and doesn’t talk much. I was always wanted to go on a trip with new people and explore and get out of my comfort zone. I was searching out the trips with Backpackers and City Freaks (BCF) since last two years. But finally, when my friend said that we should go to a trip I suggested BCF. I have previously stayed in Chennai for 3 months but never got the chance to visit Pondicherry. And hooray BCF had this trip to Pondicherry, and we jumped in.
On the Adios work and Hyderabad for two days!!
We reached the Secunderabad railway station around 4:45 on 17/12/2021 and boarded the train by 5. We were total 9 guys including Ram from BCF. Ram was very active, and he engaged all of us in many games. We have learnt many new games. The games like ‘DONKEY’ were helpful in knowing and remembering each other’s names. We played UNO, BLUFF, RUMMY, DUMBCHARADES. Ram has put all his efforts in engaging the group. This continued till 11 in the night.
Chennai welcomes us!!!
On 18/12/2021 we reached Chennai central by 6 AM and a vehicle was already waiting for us. We boarded the min bus and had stomach full breakfast in Saravana Bhavan. Ram has suggested the different breakfast options to try out. In the minibus also we had lot of fun playing BLUFF.
Finally, we are here at Pondicherry!!
We reached Pondicherry by 11:30 am. As per our itinerary, we first reached Chunnambar Boat point to reach the Paradise beach by 12. Took the boat ride went to the island. Had lots of fun on the Island and on the beach. We started to the hotel from beach by 2:30 PM. The hotel was good enough and nothing to complain.
In the evening we went to the French colony, Aurobindo Ashram and the Vinayagar temple. And then followed by a lot pf pictures. After that Ram took us to explore different cuisines. It was lot of seaside walk and that was the best part. We spent a lot of time on the beach sitting and talking. Went back to the hotel after a little shopping.
Sunday Started with beautiful Sunrise!!
On 19/12/2021 morning we went to the sunrise viewpoint and it was wonderful. The cool breeze with the water splashing, and the sun rise was an awesome experience. We clicked a lot of pictures, did some reels, and came back to the hotel. We got freshen up and had breakfast in Pondicherry on the way to Mahabalipuram.
Mahabalipuram: The last part of the trip!
We reached Mahabalipuram by 11 AM. Explored the chariots and the old temples. Have seen the light house and Krishna’s Butter ball and the sculptures. It was lot of walking and finally we went to the shore temple took few clicks and cam back to the vehicle by 2 PM.
Started back to Chennai and had our lunch in the outskirts of Pondicherry. Reached station by 4:40 and boarded the train. Continued our games till 10 PM. Had some gossips, discussions, debates till 11:30 PM and slept.
Time to say goodbyes!!
Reached Hyderabad by 6:00 am on 20/12/2021 and bid our goodbyes.
Overall, it’s a very good experience. Got to know new people. It was great experience travelling with different people and learning new things. Still lingering in the memories of the trip and new feelings and experiences.
